15th Aug 19 | Entertainment News The Britt Award-winning rapper will support BAME students through university. Stormzy has announced he will cover the university costs of two more Cambridge students. The grime artist will pay the tuition fees of two students from a black, Asian and minority ethnic background. The rapper offers the scholarship to BAME students (Lesley Martin/PA) Stormzy will also continue to cover costs for the first two students to be supported by the scheme, who are now entering their second year of study. The Stormzy Scholarship is aimed at supporting people from minority backgrounds who have earned a place at the University Of Cambridge. It is hoped the scheme will help address the relatively low number of BAME students who attend Oxbridge institutions. During a Tuesday night segment on the sexual harassment accusations against opera star Placido Domingo, CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell was caught on a hot mic saying what sounded like, “Sounds like somebody else here…” O’Donnell was overheard during a portion of the report in which Domingo said he believed all relationships in his past were consensual. But her comment was scrubbed from the audio when the clip was uploaded to the CBS website . You can hear her comment at the 1:45 mark in the video above. Representatives for CBS News had no comment. Ghanbari A whistleblower in the Madoff Ponzi scheme case on Thursday released a report alleging that General Electric’s accounting practices are “Enronesque” and saying the conglomerate is “on the verge of insolvency.” The accounting expert Harry Markopolos said he and his team analyzed GE’s accounting and found $38 billion in fraud, calling it “merely the tip of the iceberg.” GE sank as much as 14% on Thursday following the report’s release.
